A grand opening ceremony was held in Zhezkazgan for the Ulytau Hub, the seventeenth regional IT hub in Kazakhstan. The project was implemented with the support of Astana Hub, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry, and the Ulytau region akimat (city administration).
The1 center is focused on supporting startups, developing IT education, and strengthening the technological ecosystem of the region. It is located at 99 Abay Street, Zhezkazgan, and is ready to welcome everyone interested in technological innovations.
The new center will organize incubation programs, training courses and seminars, as well as various events such as meetups, workshops, Speaker Talks, Idea Battle, Pizza Pitch, forums, hackathons, and international olympiads. All these events are aimed at exchanging experience and ideas among members of the technological ecosystem.
Currently, IT hubs are actively operating in 16 regions of Kazakhstan, and by the end of the year, it is planned to open the eighteenth hub in Petropavlovsk.
